Marriage is not a business deal, love is not a sponsorship and romance is not a survival strategy. Love with purpose, because a partner is primarily not a provider; a partner is a companion.

Desperation does not build love; it builds survival partnerships. And survival partnerships collapse when pressure meets reality.

Love must be deeper than desire. Connection must be stronger than chemistry. Purpose must be greater than passion. Physical attraction is a gift, but it must never be the foundation. It should decorate the relationship, not define it. Because when passion fades, only purpose remains. And when feelings change, only values endure.

In idle seasons, a relationship can easily become your source of identity, validation, and motivation. Instead of complementing your life, it becomes your life. And that is too much weight for any relationship to carry.

A relationship built in emotional instability often carries unresolved baggage into its foundation. And when healing comes, you may realize you built something out of survival, not intention.
